iPhone Accessory: Vaja Case (iPhone 2G)
There aren't many cases available out there for the iPhone that look and feel good at the same time. I was a little skeptical at first when I received the case for review, but it has turned out after a couple of weeks of heavy use, that the case does a fine job at protecting, and catching the public’s eyes. Vaja have done a phenomenal job on the design of the i-volution iPhone case. It fits perfectly around the iPhone once you snap it in its place, and the flip cover holds its place by an arm that holds onto the top edge of the iPhone. The model I reviewed came with an “ultra clip,” which is a sturdy way to have your iPhone close to you on your belt. The metal piece is bronze coated nikel free. The belt piece is made out of high resistance plastic with inner steel spring for strength, and can resist over 130 pounds of pull in any direction.
Wearing and using the iPhone with the i-volution case wrapped around it has definitely turned some eyes, and even a bunch of walk-ups from people curious of what kind of case it is, and where they can get their hands on one. Personally, I dislike having too many things in my pockets, especially a phone, thus, I chose the case with a clip to keep it access ready at any time. The i-volution case looks very sleek, and doesn’t make the iPhone seem “fat” like a bunch of other cases do, especially when it’s at waist-side. I have seen and played with one that didn’t have a clip, and it was quite comfortable in the pocket, and looks nice and sleek with a smooth back.
The flip cover may take a bit of time to get used to if you’re accustomed to having instant access to the phone as desired. After a couple of weeks with the case, I can clip, unclip, and flip open and close the case within seconds that causes a minimal delay when it comes to things like answering a phone call. Alternatively, the i-volution case is also available without the flip cover for the screen, for those of you that don’t want to deal with the extra flipping.
